There is probably no other discipline where wheel choice and setup is as crucial as in gravel riding, where the absence of suspension places such a huge emphasis and demands on your wheel set up to eek out that all important comfort and performance which is required for longer durations in the saddle. As bikes in this genre become more capable, the boundaries of gravel riding is expanding and the terrain is becoming more challenging and demanding on wheels. Reserve 25|GR Wheelset
The new Reserve 25|GR rim is the only ‘gravel’ dedicated rim/wheel, it’s wider than the 22mm predecessor at 25mm to accommodate today’s larger volume gravel tires. A semi-hooked rim makes tubeless set up easier than ever and like all Reserve wheels, the 25|GR has a lifetime warranty supported by a no-fault crash replacement. And in keeping with its workmanlike ways, you’ll find external nipples and standard spokes, which makes the wheels easy to keep tensioned up and in tip-top shape on those bone shaking multi day excursions.
Speaking of comfort… the engineers at Reserve applied all of their knowledge in the development of this rim, fine tuning the balance of compliance and stiffness and hitting the sweetspot which is crucial on a wheelset that is designed to be fitted to a fully rigid chassis.
